Ruth Cunningham, Musician, and Timothy Brumfield, Director of Music Ministry at St. Gregory’s

Ever wondered if there is a connection between music and physical and spiritual healing? Come find out as Ruth Cunningham, a classically trained musician, sound healing practitioner, and founding member of the band Anonymous 4, combines these skills to improvise music that connects people to the healing and spiritual power of song. She specializes in improvisational sacred music from varied spiritual traditions in both liturgical and concert settings. This lecture will combine words and sounds to understand and experience the soul transforming power of music. Joining Ruth will be Timothy Brumfield, Director of Music Ministry and Organist and Choirmaster at St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church. Brumfield has been a member of the Grammy Award-winning Paul Winter Consort since 1998 and has performed around the world. Brumfield is also an Honorary Fellow of the National College of Music in London.
